MPS and Wilderness Inquiry are providing high school students in the exciting opportunity to discover more about Minneapolis in a series of day trips exploring the city to learn about our history, nature and spaces. Activities include:. Students will meet at a nearby high school and then get free transportation to each location.

Students should register directly to the classes they are interested in. All classes are free. Community Education's Super Summer provides new experiences for youth this summer that provide education enrichment, skill building, a sense of community, social and emotional learning, and recreational opportunities. Activities include: Canoeing Hiking Observing nature and experiencing local ecosystems in lakes, rivers and parks Identifying plants and animals Spray painting storm drains with eco-friendly messages.
Students will work with MPS teachers to either: Recover credits in Biology and English available to 10, 11 and 12 graders OR Participate in experiential education open to graders Two one-week sessions are available on these dates: Session 1: August 2 - 5; Friday, August 6 is an asynchronous day self-directed to complete work needed for the credit recovery track.
