The actual diameter of this umbrella is 38 inches at its narrowest point to 42 inches at its widest point, unlike as advertised of being 48 inches.
Review Group : 1 Rating :. The product is worth time and money Very strong and looks fantastic. Review Group : 2 Rating :. Great automatic open feature The raindrop-shaped openings allow the wind to pass between the two canopies Well contoured wood handle Some feel it's very weak, and the umbrella often pops open unexpectedly The shaft and handle is made of plastic and looks rather cheap.
Review Group : 3 Rating :. Big but light in weight It is sturdy, strong, easy to use and provides plenty of protection. Review Group : 4 Rating :. The construction seems solid Quality product with quality material Worth every dollar Super strong Good looking and very functional umbrella The handle is some type of composite that's painted to make it look like it's wood.
Review Group : 5 Rating :. Heavy winds seem to barely move the wind flaps, it's just very well designed When the wind does get under it, both canopies separate allowing the wind to just flow through the large holes, all while keeping one dry Great coverage, attractive colors, and does a great job in strong winds.
Review Group : 6 Rating :. The design works very well in high wind conditions Has minor problem such as not staying closed without securing the Velcro straps The Velcro straps become detached and fall off, and the button lock mechanism fails as well, causing the umbrella to spring open at times Nice design and has a nice carry handle as well.

Being a subway traveler, I always have my hands full and when I carry an umbrella, I put it down so I can read or sip my coffee, but then I get up and forget my umbrella and then it's gone. I knew it was going to be a good umbrella with gustbusting features, but the Duo-Strap carrying case was a pleasant surprise: now I can carry it like a backpack and never forget it on the train!
Thanks guys! I just want to say how great of product you made. I bought my Gustbuster umbrella over 20 years ago, longer, but at least that long. I must share my Gustbuster experience! I was in Buffalo, NY over the weekend for a wedding. This of course was the same weekend of hurricane like winds that hit the city. I had parked my car as close to the hotel entrance as possible as I knew the wind was expected to pick up that afternoon.
I did not have a coat but headed to my car in my gown, shawl which was fortunately buttoned purse in one hand, and my Gustbuster umbrella in the other. The wind, almost knocking me over, was magnified by the umbrella because I was damned if i was going to release it but, as advertised, it did not turn inside out, instead acting as a sail, trying to pull me with it.
I held on against a column of the building, with no clue as to how I'd make it to my car. A clerk from the hotel desk saw my calamity and came out to help — walking me hand-in-hand to my car. I definitely looked like I'd been through a storm, but my Gustbuster umbrella was incredible!
